APHELION Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 7, 2026.

What APHELION stores locally

  • Your blacklist entries, custom censor glyphs, image settings, replacement image preferences, and bonk-sound preferences are stored locally in your browser using extension storage.
  • Your license state, such as plan tier and activation timestamp, is also stored locally so paid features can remain unlocked on your device.

Payments and purchase recovery

  • Payments are processed by Stripe, not by APHELION directly.
  • When purchase recovery is enabled, APHELION's backend may store your purchase email and generated license key in Supabase so your key can be restored after checkout.

What APHELION does not do

Seriously though: we do not sell or snoop through your data or browser history. Privacy matters, and honestly, browser history is usually so ugly and generic that we would rather read a video game's Terms of Service.

  • APHELION does not sell your browsing history.
  • APHELION does not use advertising trackers inside the extension.
  • Normal filtering runs locally in the browser on pages you open so unwanted content can be hidden or blurred.

Optional server requests

Some setups may use an APHELION API to help with checkout, license recovery, or blacklist variant generation. If enabled, only the data needed for that request is sent to the configured service.
